IndiCell is an interactive installation, which consists of six spheres suspended from a ceiling. Five spheres are located in the five vertexes in a big pentagon and one is located in its center. Each of them works by viewer’s movement and light source. As soon as the center sphere detects a viewer’s movement, it slowly spins, turns on the beam light and emits a unique sound. The moving beam light triggers other surrounding spheres’ rotation and generates lights and sounds. It is a reproduction of the biological human cloning system simplified and transformed to machinery mechanism, which implies the breakdown of the traditional family lineage in digital era. |
